When We Are Closed

When your GP practice is closed and you need healthcare advice you can contact the NHS 111 service by phone or online (111 or www.nhs.uk/111) where you will be advised of the most appropriate service for your needs. Calls are FREE from landlines and mobiles. NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Alternatively, you can access your local pharmacy for self-care advice or visit www.nhs.uk to find local services for your needs.

If you are acutely unwell with shortness of breath or chest pains or have collapsed, please ring 999 for an Ambulance to be assessed in A&E.

NHS 111 Online

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally.

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.

Click here to access NHS 111 online or call 111 to speak to a staff member.

Open Blood Clinic

If you require a blood test and this has already been requested by one of our clinicians or a consultant at the hospital, you can attend our open blood clinic.

This runs Monday - Friday, between 8am - 10am with no appointment needed.

Alternatively, if you cannot attend within these times, you can book an appointment to suit you.
